What forms of computer technology do I use most frequently?

Just recently, I heard on the radio that the generation aged mid 30s and below are so hooked into technology that it's difficult for this generation to go anywhere for any length of time without this technology. For me, I have to say that connection to the Internet falls into this category. I already check my e-mails (all 3 e-mail accounts) multiple times a day, which is why it is frequently easier for you to successfully contact me via e-mail than via the phone. Furthermore, at MSU Mankato, voicemails automatically get rerouted to my MSU e-mail inbox. How's that for technology? Besides e-mail, I also often check various blogs and websites.

I, too, fall under that category of people. But a couple of weeks ago, I came across an article by Dr Thomas Jackson of Loughborough University, England. Here is what he found: "it takes an average of 64 seconds to recover your train of thought after interruption by email ... So people who check their email every five minutes waste 81/2hours a week figuring out what they were doing moments before." The article mentions some other reports on the use of email and time management. Here is a link to an article on The Sydney Morning Herald: http://www.smh.com.au/news/biztech/youve-got-interruptions/2008/09/08/1220857455 459.html?page=fullpage#contentSwap2
